
The future of Mark Webber in Red Bull Racing team is still a question mark, because there has been no real action on a contract extension plans. However, the Australian rider is believed to be retired in the spring of 2013, so that Red Bull is preparing for his successor.
Webber and Red Bull is still in the process of talks for a contract extension through 2012, a team consultant Dr. Helmut Marko has given a strong signal to search for successors. Apparently, the team bearing the bull is already eyeing compatriot Webber, Daniel Ricciardo.
When the race in Hungary last month, Marko exhaled again speculation about the future Webber, saying that the 34-year-old rider is likely to retire after one season again.
"Mark Webber will continue with us for another year, and then he will decide what to do in his career," the Austrian man was quoted as saying by Italian media, including Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport.
Marko added, "Red Bull will decide who will replace him, although it is possible (Daniel) Ricciardo".
