Jenson Button said, now he is waiting for McLaren's decision about his future. To be sure, the British rider was still like to sit in the cockpit of the McLaren in Formula 1 next season.
So far, 31-year-old rider has yet to confirm its position for next year. However, it is believed McLaren will continue to work so that he remains part of the squad are based in Woking, maybe even given a longer contract - not just one season, but there is an option for several seasons.
At last weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, Button has given the signal. When asked about his chances to stay at McLaren, 2009 world champion said: "Well, hopefully go well. I want to stay here next year, and hopefully I'll be here next year.
"I'm just waiting for the team to make a choice," he added.
Button refused to talk specifics, or when the deadline for making that choice ends - is believed to be on next month - but there are indications he had input on the deal with McLaren.
Speaking at McLaren demo that took place in Manchester on Monday, Button insisted: "If Martin Whitmarsh took the option ... Everything he did was say 'yes' and I'll say 'yes', because I want to be here next year.
"As a team, like when they approach me, but I was very happy when it was in the car. I really like this car, as well as the direction we've taken with this car."
