Alonso Satisfied with 2nd Place in Nurburgring

Fernando Alonso failed to win his second victory this season after only finished runner-up at the German GP. However, the Ferrari driver was very satisfied with these results.

Alonso started the race at the Nurburgring on Sunday (24/07/2011) night, from the fourth position. This is a decrease in the position of the free practice sessions earlier in which he was successively located at positions one, two, and the last three.

In the end, Alonso must be satisfied to complete the race in second position after a tight fight with Lewis Hamilton, who became champion, and Mark Webber, who finished in the top three.

"I'm very pleased with the results today. We had a weekend that might not be the easiest," said Alonso in F1 Planet.

"We're a little trouble on Friday, in qualifying we were in fourth place, half a second from pole position charger so no doubt we are a bit of trouble at the weekend," he continued.

With these results, Alonso continued the positive trend because it can be on the podium in the last three series. The fact that increasingly make themselves satisfied with the results at the Nurburgring.
