One DRS Zone in Singapore GP

FIA, the governing body of Formula One, confirmed there is only one zone of DRS in the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend, on Wednesday (09/21/2011), in London. Determination of the zone DRS is done by taking into account the safety factor in the race at Marina Bay.

DRS is a system of reducing drag on the F1 car by moving the rear wing. If DRS is enabled, the car's speed will be faster and useful to overtake another car. However, this system has the risk of making the car unstable when used in the bend so it should only be used in a straight line.

According to FIA, DRS monitoring zone established after the third bend and the activation zone DRS after the fourth corner. DRS zone is the longest straight track in the Marina Bay.

With the DRS zone, fight antarpebalap expected to be more stringent and more attractive for spectators. Earlier, another car overtaking difficult on the Marina Bay race looks so boring.
