Ferrari team's chances to win more series in the F1 event more open. Pirelli, the sole provider of tires for the F1 event, plans to stop using hard tires in the second half of the F1 2011 season.
Ferrari team known to prefer to use soft tires rather than hard tires. Although more rapid wear, has a soft tire traction or adhesion with a stronger asphalt. Good traction will be able to make the car go faster and and more stable.
Pirelli announced, the manufacturer of the tire was not going to use a mixture of hard tires in the next three series. Paul Hembery, head of motor sports division of Pirelli, say, hard tires considered not to be used until there end of the 2011 season.
"I think we will not use tires harder. Ban proven quite resilient medium for circuits that are aggressive," said Hembery, in London.
For the 2012 season, hard tires will also not be used anymore. Instead, medium tires and tire wear will be soft. With this policy, all teams must arrange with a clever pit stop strategy because soft tires must be replaced frequently.
Ferrari Team racer Fernando Alonso said, if this policy be implemented, he was very excited because his car was matched with soft tires from Pirelli.
