Principals F1, Bernie Ecclestone desire to bring F1 car races in the United States almost a reality. Ecclestone has signed an agreement to hold F1 race in July in Austin, Texas.
In a joint statement on Tuesday (08/02/2011), Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner and West New York Mayor Felix Roque said it had preliminary talks with a group of investors to hold the F1 event in early 2013. Investor group is led by Leo Hindery Jr., former executive YES TV Network.
Both the mayor will also conduct feasibility studies and studies of economic potential that would be obtained from the implementation of F1.
"We must ensure that the financial benefits from the performances F1 event and there is no people's tax money is used. In uncertain economic conditions, the current source of income directly and indirectly be important, F1 in our region will be very positive to encourage our society," said Richard, who accompanied Felix.
If so, the race will be held on the banks of the Hudson River with The shadows of skyscrapers in New York will adorn the race that was held on the street.
