Lotus teams will occupy the target board in the middle of the F1 world championship next season. Although it has not got a point, a team based in the UK it occupies ranks 10th of 12 teams competing in F1.
Team Lotus head Mike Gascoyne, in London said major improvements that his team worked on the series will show the results of Singapore, 25 September. The results are important to minimize the difference in points of profit other constructor.
In addition, the arrival of former designers team Red Bull, Mark Smith, as director of engineering will help the team progress as a team Lotus mid-next year.
"We've said we want to be in the middle of the board this year but we did not succeed. We are still far behind but we made a lot of progress this year and there are two teams below us," said Gascoyne.
The car in the next year will be a development of this year. Its the same gearbox, same design team, and the same engine but we are developing will be a much faster car.
Team Lotus will also adopt the system of the kinetic energy of Red Bull team prepared for 2012. Team Lotus also targets could pass Williams and Toro Rosso team to seize the middle of the board
